About Dr. Lee

Richard J. Lee, M.D., was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Lee worked in the field of real estate investment and finance for nearly six years before resuming his path to medical school. He received his master’s degree and medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lee completed his transitional intern year and his radiation oncology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He is published in peer-reviewed journals on topics including head and neck, breast and prostate cancer.

Dr. Lee joined Central Florida Cancer Care Center in 2014 and is excited to be serving central Florida. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology and he is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology and the Association of Independent Doctors.

Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, Copper and Bianca.
